An Orthodox Christian association in Stockholm

What we do

The Pilgrim Foundation is a small-scale independent association with roots in the Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration of Christ in Stockholm. The fund focuses on promoting access to Orthodox Christian spirituality in Sweden.

 

Right now, The Pilgrim Foundation has two ongoing projects: supporting the publication of literature and other material to strengthen Orthodoxy in Sweden, and supporting educational activities for people active in the Orthodox parishes.

The Synaxarion

The Pilgrim Foundation has supported the work of translating the great synaxarion of the Athonite monastery of Simonopetra into Swedish with Fr. Mikael Fälthammar as editor. The fourth and final part of the Swedish book series will be published in September this year.

Courses

The Pilgrim Foundation is organizing a course on the Holy Liturgy. The course combines theological in-depth study with practical skills. It is only offered in the Swedish language.
